Trying Tuesday: Trying not to fall in times of a pandemic.

Today is Thursday! And I am posting Trying Tuesday because #PandemicTimesMeanCrazyTimes.

I am trying different things for a week and then writing about it, some of the articles are coming together and I am loving the experiences and how much I am learning.

However, something happened to me, unexpectedly, and it made me think about life.

As I have mentioned earlier I have been on Tinder for a couple of weeks now. It has been a little over a week or so since I met a guy. He inspired the “Sleepy but happy” post. He is super sweet, a musician and a music teacher, plus he is handsome. What more can you ask for?

Well, to not be in quarantine, that’s what. We can’t meet so we chat on whatsapp, have calls and sometimes video calls. We talk about life, the world and he plays and sings songs for me.

Yes, you’ve read that right! He sings and plays songs for me. Whenever he does that I end up smitten by him. And this made me wonder: how can you not fall in times of a pandemic?

I mean, how can I not like him? Besides everything he is, I have attributed beautiful characteristics to his personality based on my imagination. Clearly I have been #AtHome for way too long.

But the struggle is real. So I came up with a plan which I will detail in the following lines.

  1. Try to only see him for what he is: if he is kind he is kind, but don’t imagine he is romantic if he hasn’t shown you romanticism. If he has shown you that he is romantic, sorry you are screwed.

  2. Don’t imagine him naked, it will make you want him more.

  3. Forget that image that I know you have in your head where he is preparing you breakfast after a lovely date.

  4. Stop picturing how it will be when you guys meet. You will be nervous and make a fool of yourself, it won’t go as planned, just deal with it.

  5. If everything else fails, just go with flow and fall for the guy!

I mean we are in quarantine, and as I alway say “hope for the best, prepare for the worst”. Hope for a lovely date, prepare to drink too much and make a fool of yourself.
